Building Bridges
A renowned Israeli-based architectural firm is using attractive looking containers to create a unique bridge that will be under construction in the near future.
Envisioned for the Ariel Sharon park in Israel, it connects two sides of the nature site. The containers are 100% recyclable and they can be reconditioned off site, minimising the amount of work that needs to be done in the park.
A steel truss will join the boxes, serving as the main structural support system. Three tree columns protrude from the ground giving additional backing.
There will also be two observation decks that allow visitors to catch stunning views of the surroundings. The connected observation areas also serve as a rooftop walking deck. The bridge will support not only pedestrians, but also some light vehicle traffic.
